Tai Chi and Qigong festival in Co Clare

Tai Chi and Qigong festival in Co Clare

A festival to promote Tai Chi and Qigong in Ireland is being held in Co Clare in September.

The event is open to everyone and is being run by top instructors from the Ireland Tai Chi and Qigong Association.

It will include group work with a warm up and foundation Tai Chi and meditation exercises under the guidance of the instructors.

Sample classes of Chen style Tai Chi and ancient Qigong forms and meditations are also on offer.

The Irish Health Qigong team, who will be competing at the 4th International Health Qigong Tournament in Vancouver later this year will also demonstrate their skills.

The Clare festival is being held as part of the fundraising for the team.

The cost of the event at the West County Hotel in Ennis is €20 per person and group discounts are available.

It runs on Saturday September 3rd from 12pm to 5pm.

All instructors taking part have been successfully assessed by the Chinese Wushu and Qigong Associations and are qualified with Tai Chi Master Liming Yue (7th Dan Wei).

A delegation from the official Chinese Health Qi Gong Association will travel to Ireland to teach in October with classes being held in Dublin on October 24th and 25th
