Choosing Happiness – Swords

February 29 @ 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Choosing Happiness – one day retreat with priest and psychotherapist Fr Brian Kavanagh.

Fr. Brian Kavanagh invites you to explore the paths to happiness on Saturday, 27th April. ‘Choosing Happiness’ Workshop will offer spiritual and practical insights across all the dimensions of the human person, including the spiritual, emotional, relational, physical, and mental components — as well as how we relate to God, to others, and to ourselves. In this programme, Fr Brian will delve into the big spiritual questions surrounding how we value our lives, purpose, and motivations and how to cultivate happiness in those areas. Fr. Brian’s  will provide a multi-faceted approach to finding happiness in the midst of the trials and struggles of life.

During this 1-Day retreat, you will have the opportunity to reflect on some of the things that may be preventing you from living in true happiness and joy.
Love. Joy. Happiness. Each of these three words have their root in the story of humanity and in the history of God’s relationship with people from the time of creation. Jesus’ first sermon in Matthew’s Gospel presents the Beatitudes – how to be happy and blessed. This day will also use Scripture, particularly the gospels and the psalms, to find encouragement for the journey.

“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10)
