A two day workshop on Health and Healing Through Mind-Body Unity at University College Cork with Dr Gabor Maté.
Dr Gabor Maté is a world expert on mental health, addiction, stress, trauma and childhood development and this is his first Irish workshop.
Over the two days he will discuss why depression and anxiety happen and the root cause, how stress and emotions impact your health, how psychological distress can cause severe and chronic illness and the root causes of addictions.
He will also discuss ADHD and ADD in adults and children, the connection between physical illness, stress and trauma, how to develop a more compassionate and healing approach to addiction and interventions, skills and supports to empower people with mental health.
He is a medical doctor and best selling author: In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts: Close Encounters with Addiction and When the Body Says No: The Cost of Hidden Stress.
He is also a co-founder of Compassion for Addiction.
The event includes two full workshop days, 16 hours CPD with a certificate of attendance and a full audio recording of the entire workshop.
